The H 760 from H2 Audio is a hardware compressor for studio use, controlling the dynamic range of a signal so the loudest moments sit closer to the quietest. Used gently, a compressor evens out a vocal or a bass part; pushed harder, it becomes part of the sound in its own right. It fits recording and mixing setups that want outboard dynamics control rather than relying only on plug-ins.
