This is the silver version of Polyend Drums, a hardware sampler for programming rhythm parts on a dedicated instrument. Keeping beats on a separate box rather than in a session window changes the pace of writing, and the unit sits easily on a desk next to a synthesizer and an audio interface. It works both as a studio writing tool and as a rhythm source in a live electronic rig.
